So in these final few episodes I will enjoy the Buy More crew for what they're worth. The episode began with Chuck in captivity by a 'mean man' (yes this show is that generic) in which Chuck was genuinely working out some problems with Carmichael Industries. While 'mean man' prepared to torture him, Chuck (with the guide of wife, Sarah on ear piece) talked through how hard it was to run his own business. As usual, hot wife saved her husby. (Just noticed this word was in circulation. Can't decide if I like it or if it annoys me).
When Sarah wakes up the next morning Chuck hasn't come to bed. He's been Jerry Maguiring all night about a mission statement to make their company more attractive to clients. But Sarah isn't feeling well so she goes to the bathroom to throw up.
Gertrude (The Matrix' Carrie Anne Moss) shows up in Casey's apartment for an international booty call as she is no longer wanted for the murder of Decker, not exactly sure why but it was enough to get her some Casey love and give him a periwinkle cashmere sweater. (Seriously, Gertrude? Know your audience.)
At work, sporting new sweater, Casey is presented with the new mission statement that has just attracted a new client; Gertrude. She's using them to go to Miami to get some guns or something (I was tuning in and out). The team heads South after Casey let's daughter Alex know that he needs a rain check for their movie night.
Sarah is still sick.
In Miami, Chuck enjoys poolside life and doesn't understand why Sarah doesn't want a cocktail. (Really?) Gertrude goes to the room and Casey, guns out (literally and figuratively) goes to her room for yet another seduction.
At dinner that evening, Chuck advises Casey to open up his heart a little more and read the signals his lady is giving him. The arms dude shows up and makes a deal with them.
They go to the 'meet' point and get the arms for the money but there is some sort of safety code which means they can't fire on arms dude's men...I don't know. Tuning in and out.
Gertrude's 'real' team shows up and saves the day. Casey is PISSED that he was played and yells at Chuck since he seems to be so in tune with Sarah how come he hasn't picked up on the obvious (for reals) signals that she may be pregnant?
Back in CA, the team of Jeff and Lester suspect that there is something going on behind the scenes at Buy More. They are oddly right on target when Morgan walks in and decides to throw them off the path by pointing the suspicion towards Awesome, a more believable spy than Chuck. Morgan let's Awesome in on the plan and he's on board.
Sarah takes a pregnancy test and it is negative but it prompts the discussion of kids and are they going to keep being spies and have kids? Chuck doesn't want to do that to his kids like it was done to him.
Gertrude contacts the team and says that the fake meeting in Miami led her to the 'real' arms dude and they need to go back. Casey doesn't want to go because he's all pissy. Chuck and Sarah go, still freaking out a little bit about the kids prospect but focusing on the mission. Arms dude kidnaps Gertrude and makes a call to Casey to come save her. He's hesitant but winds up going. Sarah is attacked and blinded by a flash grenade so Chuck goes in with the coded weapons to help save Gertrude with Casey. Casey reveals to Gertrude that he is, in fact, in love with her. They escape all the way out except for Arms dude so Sarah (who can suddenly see) runs him down with a Range Rover. All is well.
Back in CA, Gerturde gives Casey a more appropriate gift, a bullet proof vest before saying goodbye. She offers a 2 month excursion just the two of them, but Casey needs to talk it over with the other 'lady' in his life. He goes to movie night with Alex and tells her about Gertrude. She approves and looks forward to meeting her.
Chuck and Sarah admit they were a little disappointed she wasn't pregnant and clearly the 'kid' discussion is now on the table. They smile as they watch on the surveillance camera Morgan's plan to throw off Jeff and Lester. They follow Awesome down to a secret room where he is working out. He tells them Ellie doesn't like his exercise equipment at the house so he does it at the Buy More. They are convinced and Awesome leaves. Chuck, Sarah and Morgan are amused at how the plan worked and they threw off Jeff and Lester. Lester leans against the wall and Jeff realizes it's fresh cement. He takes a 'weight' and smashes through the wall and sees the Castle underground with Sarah, Chuck and Morgan watching them on surveillance. Morgan shoots both of them in the neck with a tranq gun. And says "I think we have a problem."
For years I've been waiting for Jeff and Lester to discover the secret of the Castle. They were the last two. If they become spies at the end, it will greatly amuse me. I just hope the series won't end without at least one more performance from Jeffster.
