Oh Revenge, you melodramatic, horribly written, cliched soap opera...I love you so. We're back in the Hamptons where someone actually said in this episode "Blackmail, not just for breakfast anymore." Yes...it's that good.
So psycho Tyler met his demise finally. He was such an over the top villain that as much as I enjoyed him at first, i was over it. We begin with Emily and Daniel planning Daniel's birthday. Daniel wanted to keep it low key because rich Mom, Victoria always went over the top like hiring Cirque Du Soleil and such. (#firstworldproblems) Emily offered to throw a clambake and Daniel was sold. She went and apologized to Nolan, the rich kid next door so that he can be her secret ally again. Papa Grayson offered to fire Tyler if Daniel would come back. Daniel agreed but only to help Mama Grayson scheme to get more money in the divorce. Isn't it delicious?
With the help of Nolan tracking Tyler's cell GPS (is that really that easy to do? I mean I know he's a computer whiz and all but he made it all look so simple...), Emily broke into the Grayson's pool house where Tyler had been staying and stole back the dolphin spy camera (seriously) and found that Tyler was off his anti-psychotics. She called his former doctor posing as a doctor herself (because doctor's offices NEVER do background check when inquiring about a patient...) and found out that Tyler was indeed psycho and attacked his former doctor. Nolan tracked down his brother and flew him to the Hamptons to claim Tyler. Emily and the only party planner in the Hamptons, Ashley planned the Clam Bake. Emily asks Victoria for a photo of Emily and Daniel from the day they met and revealed that she was planning on giving Daniel a scrap book for his birthday. Victoria very icily remarked how sweet that was. No love lost between these too, right? Right?
Tyler finds out that his spy cam has been stolen and confronts Nolan whose technology failed him minutes after he tells Emily "technology, unlike people, never fails me." I mean, who saw that coming? Psycho Tyler pulls a knife on him and stabs Nolan in the arm when he notices that the spy cam is working and shows Emily talking to daniel about their party that night which Tyler decides to crash. (Wish I had the melodramatic soundtrack that this show uses). Tyler ties up Nolan and heads to the Grayson party.
In the meantime, Victoria's divorce lawyer tries to dig up falsified evidence that she was pregnant when she signed a pre-nup when she and Conrad married. Emily recognizes the lawyer as the lawyer who wouldn't file an appeal for her Dad. REVENGE!
The fake Amanda Clark and Jack are enjoying time in their fake love affair (poor jack) as they ready themselves for the Grayson birthday party that Emily has invited them to. Psycho Tyler's brother arrives and finds Nolan tied up and saves him in the nick of time so they can rush over to the party. Tyler pulls a gun on Emily in the kitchen right after Victoria gives Daniel his birthday present; a scrapbook of memories. Scandalous! Tyler holds the gun on Emily as she walks the cake out to Daniel. He wants to play a game of "Truth....or DIE!" (Seriously, that was his line). So he confronts Conrad about the real story of what happened to David Clarke. Just as he's about to shoot Emily in the head, thankfully, Nolan and Alex (Tyler's brother) show up. All is saved! Whew! Tyler is taken away, Nolan and Emily are bff's again, Nolan and Ashley bond over choosing bad men, Charlotte and Declan remain irrelevant, and Daniel goes home with Emily thanking her profusely for being in his life. The show ended with leering glances out of Grayson manor...I mean really leering.
So now psycho Tyler is gone, does that mean the only villain now is Victoria? I'm thinking that's not the last we see of Tyler. Or Ashley's gonna lose it and become crazy. Still think David Clarke is alive and that will be the big reveal at the end of the season. The season opened with the murder of Daniel Grayson which I'm still kind of hoping the body is Tyler because Daniel is way hot to only be around for one season. Couldn't they kill Declan? Or Charlotte? They are both useless. Unless Charlotte is David Clarke's daughter...could she be?
