Suburgatory "Driving Miss Dalia" S1E10

Got into this show because I was bored, but it's actually quite clever. NYC man and his teenage daughter relocate to the suburbs with all the crazy soccer Moms and rich neighbors. Daughter, Tessa, has the snarky wit I can only wish I possessed through my awkward teenage years.
Time for Tessa to take her driver's test. At the DMV, or in suburbia we called it the Driver License office, Tessa and her Dad (George) run into their neighbors Dallas and Daughter Dalia. This will be Dalia's third attempt at possessing a license. Tessa passes with flying colors, Dalia's instructor is taken away in an ambulance.
George's best friend, Noah (The incomparable Alan Tudyk) gives him a week long guest pass at his Country Club. George is using it to his heart's desire, using the expensive shampoos, bonding with guys named Maury in the Steam Room until he is informed that his guest privileges have expired and it's time to leave. George finds Noah dining with (the wonderful Chris Parnell) Fred and ask if they can extend his guest pass but they can't. So George decides to join. Noah is very against it inexplicably which results in a physical scuffle in the steam room filled with pixilated nude fights. Noah finally reveals that although he was jealous of George honing in on his territory, he realized George is like his brother and added him to his family membership.
Back in Hell, I mean High School, Dalia and her Stepford followers approach Tessa about becoming Dalia's driver. After a negotiation for a lot of cash, Tessa agrees. Her assignment? Help Dalia stalk Scott Strauss. Tessa reluctantly obliges until she, very un-subtly, rear-ends Scott's car. The two hit it off while exchanging information but Tessa who is still on the clock, sets Scott up with Dalia. Scott agrees upon hearing that Tessa is her driver. Tessa informs her best friend, Lisa of the setup since Scott's ex-girlfriend Brianna was all beauty no brains, Dalia is just his type. Lisa updates Tessa that Scott has spent a year in Zambia and is a changed man. Tessa takes them on the date and Dalia genuinely thanks her right before Scott informs Tessa the only reason he agreed was so he could spend more time with Tessa. Tessa and Scott wind up hanging out and Tessa is hooked! But she feels guilty so confesses to Dalia there upon beginning a war between the neighbors. Dalia delivers my favorite line of the night "Tessa, you're acting like Tyler Perry. You're telling jokes but you're not funny."
Oh this quirky little show.
